Certificate of completion of a hunter and/or bowhunter education course is required to be carried on your person while hunting, by everyone age 12 or older born on or after January 1, 1977. Under age 12 must be in the company of a licensed adult 19 or older for all hunting with firearm or cross bow, age 12 thru 15 can only hunt deer, antelope, elk or mountain sheep while in the company of an adult 21 or older.
