All hunters hunting on Prince Edward Island are required to be in possession of a Firearm Safety Certificate from any province or state. 1) All first time hunters and all individuals born on or after September 1, 1968 are required to successfully complete a Firearm/ Hunter Safety Course. 2) All individuals who were born before September 1, 1968, and who have hunted previously can apply for a P.E.I. Firearm Safety Certificate by signing an affidavit. ( currently under review)
