Why do you only encode Flash or .flv videos?

It is very simple -- because the flash player is already on 98% of the computers in the world. If we were to use windows or quicktime we would be excluding a lot of people who simply do not have access to those players.   This is why sites like you tube use flash video. It is universal. It wil provide you the widest audience.

If you don't like the quality that you see using the free Riva Flash encoder there are options.:

  1. You can purchase a paid for program that does a better job of encoding .flv files -- quality wise. We use Flix Pro.   Flix Pro does a top quality job of encoding. There is also a less expensive version called Flix Standard. Before purchasing Flix Standard we suggest you download the trial and test the quality. We have not worked with Flix Standard.
  2. You can schedule a time with us to upload the uncompressed .NTSC footage or .avi files onto our server using the upload function on our full screen video page by emailing us here . Again we will do the encoding on this end using Flix Pro. Obviously this will have to be scheduled so as to prevent any overload on our server.
  3. You can send your NTSC footage or .avi file to us here on disk and we will encode it for you using Flix Pro. It really does a nice job of encoding.
